RULES

hi! thank you so much for checking this page out! i promise i’ll keep things simple and clean!CREDIT• I crop and edit my own icons; the drawn ones are from the Major Grom and Plague Doctor comics by Bubble;
• The art used on my blog and pages is by my dear friend Kate (@vilavelebita). You should check her art blog @moonshaftsart out!
• Don’t plagiarize, I’ll know if you do <3
ACTIVITY• Can be spotty, especially when it comes to DMs;
• Feel free to remind me if it seems like I’ve missed your reply, but please don’t badger me.
FOLLOWING• If you have a rules page and an about page for your character up, we’re golden;
• Our styles must be compatible; while I love doing the occasional script thread, I find it hard to push a whole lot of character development in that format;
• If I followed you, it means I want to interact with you and, if we’re mutuals, I’ll assume the sentiment is reciprocal, so I ask you not to follow me unless you’re willing to make an effort to get something going.
UNFOLLOWING• I usually either softblock or hardblock people. It’s hardly ever something personal, but I reserve my right to curate the content I see on my dashboard;
• Most common motivators: you treat my blog like a resource blog, my attempts at interacting with you haven’t wielded any results, vagueblogging (whether it’s about me or not I don’t care), I’m no longer interested in your content;
• A little observation on the ‘you treat my blog like a resource blog’ bit: while I realize I don’t own the posts I reblog, I take a lot of time and care to curate my content and I usually share them directly from the original poster’s blog, so please reblog them from the source instead. It will only take you an extra couple of seconds, I promise;
• I won’t disclose my reasons for breaking a mutual and I won’t ask you to do it either.
PORTRAYAL• I will under no circumstances roleplay current events;
Don’t assume my character is a bigot or a mouthpiece for the Russian government. If you’re unsure about how Dmitriy would behave around your character at a certain time, ask me, don’t assume;
• I just don’t believe tumblr roleplay is the adequate platform for political commentary, sorry. Neither do I believe these anime bitches should be committing war crimes. If you think that means I’m sugarcoating history or whatever, this blog isn’t for you. It is simply an outlet for my love for Russian culture and history, it does not constitute activism in any way;
• Dmitriy doesn’t exist to be the root of all evil in the world and/or an easy punching bag for your character.
SHIPPINGSingle-ship and Dmitriy is deeply in love with his beautiful gf! However, I’m still very much open to discussing past relationships;
• Chemistry based, regardless of the nature of the dynamic we’re pursuing.
ADMIN• Ira, 21+, she/her, not a native speaker of English;
• Languages are, in order of fluency: Portuguese, French, Spanish and the tiniest bit of Russian. I will be embarrassing myself from time to time here;
• Insufferable literature guy. I love Vladimir Mayakovsky so much I wish bald people were real.

— APPEARANCEHEIGHT. 196 cm / 6'4".WEIGHT. 87 kg / 192 lbs.HAIR COLOR. Medium brown.EYE COLOR. Dull grey.SKIN TONE. Pale ivory.BODY BUILD. Ectomorph.OVERVIEW. Standing at nearly two meters and carrying himself with soldier-like discipline, Dmitriy is the sort of person who can’t come into a room and remain unnoticed. His frame is wiry, neither scrawny nor particularly muscular; he sits comfortably in the middle.He will rarely pick bright colors to wear; the dull and dark ones have always suited him best. Sweaters, button-up shirts, jeans and heavy overcoats, as well as dress shoes and boots, are the pieces that find their way into his wardrobe. As any good Russian, Dmitriy won’t say no to a decent set of knock-off Adidas tracksuits.His face is all sharp angles, with a strong square jaw, high cheekbones and a large, lowered aquiline nose. His dull grey eyes are deep set and often adorned by dark circles, which lend his visage a sickly look that is worsened by his pale complexion. A scar cuts through his right cheekbone horizontally: a proud memento of the Great Northern War, now a simple dent on the skin.In fact, his whole body is a patchwork exhibition of the wars and other hardships his country has gone through. The most noteworthy is a large burn scar earned in World War II that takes most of the midsection of his back.Dmitriy’s hair is dark brown and wavy. It is often neatly combed back and kept short. When it’s not, the thick strands fall carelessly on his forehead.He talks in a baritone, turned raspy due to the unreasonable number of cigarettes he smokes daily. Dmitriy hardly ever raises his tone, preferring to keep it on a par with the cool and collected persona he tries to sell. When speaking English, he makes little effort to conceal his accent.— PERSONALITYMBTI TYPE. ISTJ.MORAL ALIGNMENT. Chaotic neutral.VIRTUES. Charismatic, charming, considerate, articulate, witty, knowledgeable, adaptable, ambitious, daring, eloquent.VICES. Arrogant, nihilistic, controlling, manipulative, competitive, self-centered, aloof, corrupt, cynical, hedonistic, fatalistic, melancholic, unreliable.HOBBIES. Playing piano and violin, reading, watching sports, chess, cooking.OVERVIEW. Much like the country he represents, Dmitriy is a walking contradiction. On one hand, he not only isn’t afraid to speak his mind, but also may come off as blunt for that. On the other, he dawdles and never seems to get to the point when it matters the most.To the people who have not earned his trust, he hides behind a wall of cold courtesy. This is all for appearance’s sake; the arrogant smiles and condescending ways do not take too long to surface. These are some of the fruits of a pride seen only in someone who has had the world in the palm of his hand. Never mind the fall the followed; Dmitriy carries himself as if he was still in that position.That image isn’t helped by a hint of presumption, born out of centuries of frequenting the empire’s, then the RSFSR’s intelligentsia. His thirst for knowledge first came up in the early years of the Tsardom and has never truly died out. Even now, literature and philosophy are among his main interests.Quasi-immortality has become a justification for hedonistic pursuits. After all, if he’ll likely live to witness the end of the world, he might as well have a good time. Anything that will allow immediate pleasure goes: chain smoking, heavy drinking, drug use. Gambling has also made it to the list recently and has been the source of certain inconveniences.Loved ones aren’t exempt from those sides of Dmitriy. However, to this lucky few, he is also all hearty laughter and passion. He enjoys having friends over and takes special pleasure in spoiling his visitors with his splendid cooking.Embodying the very essence of the Russian soul, resignation in the face of suffering is also a defining aspect of his personality. This stems from a deeply ingrained idea that one’s action can’t change reality. Luckily, that bleak world view is paired with great resilience. Although Russia’s history is marked by strife, its people always survive to live another day.— HEALTHSUBSTANCE USE. Smokes and drinks to an excess. He’s also very self-indulgent in regard to prescription medication – painkillers and tranquilizers particularly – and has partaken in recreational opioid use more than just a few times. And a little cocaine, but who has that kind of money nowadays?PHYSICAL AILMENTS. Chronic pain and stiffness on his left hand, which forces him to take more breaks than he would like to when playing instruments.NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS. Depression, undiagnosed; chronic insomnia, medicated.
